Quad/Graphics is looking to actively engage in the discussion and community around print and the many roles it can play in a truly integrated approach to marketing. Toward that end, we’re going to use Twitter as a platform and medium for this dialogue. Each week, we’ll host a discussion around a sub-topic relating to print and how we and others are actively redefining it in light of the ever shifting world of media, communications and marketing.
First off, you’ll need a twitter account – if you don’t have one you can sign up at http://twitter.com (make sure to complete your profile with a picture, a link to your website and a brief description of who you are and what you do).
Second, use the hashtag! Our hashtag for this Twitter Chat will be #printchat – make sure to include #printchat somewhere in each message so the community can keep track of the conversation.
Third, we highly recommend you use a tool like Tweetgrid or Tweetchat to participate. These tools allow you to preset a search for the hashtag (so you can see the whole conversation, not just comments from people you follow) and once you set them up, they’ll automatically add the hashtag to any tweet you type (so you don’t have to add #printchat manually every time).
We’ll use our Twitter Account - @QuadGraphics to host the chat each week, so make sure to follow us and watch for the questions we’ll post to get the discussion started. Also, if you have ideas for future #printchat topics – reply to @QuadGraphics on Twitter and let us know!
*The first #PrintChat will take place on Wednesday January 12th from 4-5 PM CST.
